President Trump said Thursday that he’s an “election denier” and that “more than 50% of this country” is too.
Trump made the comments during a media roundtable to discuss his upcoming book, Letters to Trump.
“I’m an election denier, & so are, substantially, I would say substantially more than 50% of this country. And I think it’s a much higher number than that. You get a lot of election deniers in this country, & they’re not happy about what happened,” Trump explained.
He said that early GOP primary polls gave him confidence that he’ll secure the Republican nomination for president in 2024.
Trump suggested that anger over the 2020 fraudulent election is fueling that.
