The U.S. military on Saturday shot down the alleged Chinese spy balloon off the coast of the Carolinas.
Joe Biden told reporters he gave the order to shoot down the balloon on Wednesday.
The balloon made headlines Thursday when it was spotted in Montana.

“I told them to shoot it down on Wednesday,” Biden told reporters.
“They said to me let’s wait until the safest place to do it,” he added.
