Arizona’s election results won’t be completed until after the weekend, according to local reports.
A Maricopa County spokesperson said the counting of the ballots will not be done Friday as originally expected, reportedly blaming a “historic” dump of 290k ballots on Election Day as the reason for the delay.
“Arizona spokesperson for Maricopa County elections tells me the majority of ballots won’t be done being counted until after the weekend,” tweeted Ali Bradley of NewsNation.
“They initially anticipated 95-99% of ballots to be completed by Friday.”
“A historic 290k ballots were dropped off ElectionDay causing the delay,” she added.
