As midterm elections wind down, health officials are gearing up to force mask mandates on the public once again.
Authoritarians in the US, Canada, Australia and Europe are renewing calls for mask mandates as winter approaches.
Their excuse for trampling over civil rights and muzzling citizens?
A COVID-19 surge from another variant.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has begun recommending wearing masks indoors once again in at least six New York counties.
The six counties in the ‘high-risk’ category include: Kings (Brooklyn), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island), Bronx, Broome (Binghamton), Tioga (Binghamton).
