On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “America Reports,” Fox News Medical Contributor and Clinical Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine Dr. Marc Siegel reacted to records obtained by The Intercept and The Nation about discussions on the origins of the coronavirus involving then-NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins and then-NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci and said that the communications show an effort to preemptively dismiss the lab leak theory and that this happened because they’re “committed to what’s called an international consortium of scientists.” And the NIH doesn’t want “to admit that the genie got out of the bottle” on gain of function research.
